USMC Pvt. Letter Archive w/ Captured Japanese Command Flag

WW2 letter grouping with captured Japanese Command flag (mentioned in letters) of Marine Corps Pvt. Edward Schappell. This Marine traveled all over the world evident by the various return addresses and letter content. He was madly in love with "Alice" and wrote her countless times with very scarce replies back from her. This rare Marine Corps archive is jam packed with killer content in the letters for his loce for Alice along with the captured Jap command flag and scarf he sent her.... There are alot of army and nave archives but not so much on the marine corps side.....
